Tyler Stoots P. A.Tyler Stoots, PA-C

Tyler attended the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, FL. He graduated with honors in August 2013 with his Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to attending Nova Southeastern University, Tyler attended the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating Cum Laude. During his undergraduate education, Tyler volunteered at Florida Hospital in the Emergency Department and was an active honors member of Pre-Professional Medical Society at the University of Central Florida.

Tyler has a broad range of clinical experiences to include: Pediatrics, General Surgery, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Emergency Medicine, Cardiology and Orthopedic Surgery.

Tyler is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed in the state of Florida. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. He enjoys waking up everyday wanting to go to work to make a difference in the lives of his patients.


Katie Stewart, ARNP-C

Katie graduated in 2004 from the University of Central Florida, earning her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. After working as a travel nurse for a few years, she returned home and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2014.

As a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she has experience in Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Family Practice, and Geriatrics.

Katie is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed.  She is a member of Florida Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.  As a Nurse Practitioner, she enjoys helping others and making a difference in the lives of her patients.


Jacklyn Xavier, PA-C

Jacklyn Xavier completed her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Myers, Florida in 2013. Prior to this, she graduated Cum Laude from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida in 2010 with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology and a double minor in Chemistry and Interdisciplinary studies. During her education as a physician assistant, she gained experience in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Due to her superior scholastic achievement, she was nominated by the director of the program for induction into Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. She passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination at first attempt shortly after graduation.

She decided to start her career practicing Family Medicine serving an under-served community in Fort Myers, Florida. This was accompanied by several challenges such as caring for families who had not received medical care previously and managing complex medical diseases in patients with limited means. During this time, she saw firsthand how important it was to receive comprehensive medical care from a general practitioner. After practicing for two years in Fort Myers, she decided to take her experience and move closer to family in Merritt Island.

She is excited to have joined the team at Brevard Family Walk In Clinic in 2015, and is happy to call the Space Coast home.


  Alexis Pereira, PA-C

Alexis Pereira completed her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at South College in Knoxville, TN in 2015. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida in 2012 prior to PA school, with a Bachelor in Health Science Pre-Professional track.  She was born and raised in Melbourne, FL and happy to call Brevard County home again.

During her rotations as a physician assistant student, she gained experience in Family Medicine, emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Orthopedic Surgery. Additionally, she volunteered with “Meals on Wheels” to help the elderly, disabled, homebound individual, and family in needs.  She also volunteered as a medic in the area of Knoxville, TN to expend her knowledge in emergency situation.

She passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination at first attempt shortly after graduation. Alexis is also board certified and licensed in the state of Florida.

Alexis is happy to be apart of the Brevard Family Walk-In Clinic team and has a passion for helping each of her patients and making a difference in their lives.
